In this textiles class, you’ll kickstart the new year with a burst of creativity! Using reclaimed fabrics, threads, ribbons, and found objects, you’ll learn how to create a range of machine-stitched cords and embroidery pieces. As you work around your chosen treasures, you’ll delve into the design process to create your unique statement jewellery to take home.
Don’t worry if you’re new to this – this workshop is perfect for beginners. You’ll be guided through each step, making the experience both fun and rewarding.
You’ll need a sewing machine with a drop foot or darning foot for free machine embroidery.
During the session, you’ll have access to fresh coffee, teas, and delicious homemade cakes. Just remember to bring along your own lunch.
Immerse yourself in this creative activity, where you’ll not only learn new skills but also enjoy the therapeutic process of crafting something beautiful. And best of all, you’ll leave with your one-of-a-kind jewellery piece as a reminder of a wonderfully creative day.

Please bring a sewing machine with darning foot or free motion embroidery foot. Optional: Any tiny, meaningful objects eg a small toy, beads, fabric piece, broken jewellery which can be either used for inspiration or incorporated into the final piece. If you cannot think of anything then don’t worry, we can improvise on the day!
