The Creative Leadership programme challenges dominant models of hierarchical leadership in ways that support the development of Plymouth’s cultural ecology.

On its pilot year (2024), it benefited 40 Creative Leaders in Plymouth and the surrounding area by delivering five steams of activity: Mentoring, Bursaries, Action Learning, Events and a Focus Group.

We’re very pleased to be continuing the programme in 2025/26. The programme is now focusing on building and supporting a network of creative leaders across the city through a series of leadership events and networking opportunities.

Around 70% of people experience impostor feelings at some stage in their career – and for creative leaders, constantly asked to deliver originality and vision, these doubts can feel especially intense.

While a touch of self-questioning can sometimes drive performance, it’s often the “impostor family” of habits — overworking, avoidance, people pleasing, and perfectionism — that takes a toll. These patterns are exhausting, and are often fuelled by the fear of being “found out.”

This practical, interactive workshop run by Anna Croucher, offers creative tools and strategies to help ensure impostor feelings don’t hold you back.

Together we’ll explore what impostor syndrome is, how it shows up, and how to respond in ways that support confidence, creativity, and sustainable growth.

Participants will leave with practical approaches they can use for themselves and with their teams, helping them to move forward with energy and authenticity.

This workshop is aimed at creative leaders in Plymouth. If you work with other people to make things happen in arts and culture, then you are a creative leader! You can be salaried, freelance or a volunteer.
