The Poetry of Our Trees

  • Sappho's Cafe & Community Space 55 Bretonside Plymouth, England, PL4 0BD United Kingdom (map)

Join writer, illustrator, and Plymouth Laureate of Words R.C. Thomas to discover the poetry living in our trees.

Using pre-written text from tree-themed books and articles, you’ll learn the art of blackout poetry and how to use found text to create something new and uniquely your own, creating poetry from the words on the page before you.

Your poems will then take root and blossom into beautiful works of art using a range of mediums. There will also be a chance to have your work displayed at the festival.

This will be a very laid-back workshop suitable for all ages and abilities.
