Nos Lowen at Cafe Momus

  • Cafe Momus / Manor Street Galleries 14-17 Manor Street Plymouth, England, PL1 1TL United Kingdom (map)

Plymouths second ever Cornish Folk dance.

Nos Lowen (meaning joyful night) is a revived Celtic folk dance tradition that aims at inclusivity, community, and connection.

With Cornish tunes by Bagas Fellyon (Band of Fools) and sea shanties by Plymouth's own LGBTQ+ Seaweed in the Fruitlocker , this accessible tradition welcomes seasoned ceilidhers, wigglers, and complete beginners alike. With doors at 7pm we'll kick off at 7:30pm with queer shanties and a dance workshop to get you warmed up and in the mood for spinning, twirling, and stomping the night away.
