Kate Hall blends indie pop, rnb, soul, blues and singer songwriter into a genre-defying sound. Emerging from Plymouth, UK, Kate is known for blending soulful vocals and piano-led pop with touches of R&B and indie grit.
Influenced by artists like Amy Winehouse, Olivia Dean, Fiona Apple and Jorja Smith her songs are heartfelt and honest, with a sound that’s both classic and current.
Kate continues to perform solo across the South West and, since 2024, has also been recording and gigging with a full band lineup.
She regularly receives ariplay from BBC Introducing in the South West including Track of the Week, Best of 2025 and Featured Artist slots.
In 2025, Kate and her band opened The View stage at Boardmasters 2025, The Great Estate Festival main stage for Friday headliners Happy Mondays and a main stage slot at Little Orchard Cider and Music Festival. They also supported Fickle Friends in Plymouth on the first night of their grassroots venue tour.
Described by Clare Robinson of the Plymouth Herald as "one of the region’s finest new young singer/songwriters," Kate is quickly becoming a standout voice on the southwest music scene.
2026 promises to be a big year for Kate and her band with main stage festival lineup placements in the southwest including Rock Oyster, Kernowfornia, Morvala, The Great Estate and Plymouth's Sound Factory Festival with BBC Introducing.
Moving into a collaborative writing dynamic with drummer Max Williams and guitarist Charlie Smith launched with latest single ‘Easier’, there is an exciting string of steady single releases carrying the project through 2026 and into 2027.
Kate Hall releases her next single with the band on 15th July. Come celebrate a full night of original up and coming music made right here in Plymouth. Support announcement very soon!
