Jonah Corren: The Trees Apart EP Launch + Jon Fazal & Rachel Gippetti

  • Cafe Momus 14-17 Manor Street Plymouth, England, PL1 1TL United Kingdom (map)

Folk songwriter-poet Jonah Corren's second EP, The Trees Apart, is a collection of lyrics-first alt folk tunes, inspired by being thrown directly from university into lockdown, and then steadily learning to navigate life outside of both. The songs explore personal growth, grief and societal issues, all with a keen sense of self-awareness and a dash of humour.

The first two songs from the EP 'Langdon, and 'Flinch' are available to listen now on all platforms, with the final three being released month by month. The full EP will be out on the day of the launch, and there will be the option to purchase physical copies as well as other selected merch. For this event, Jonah will be joined by Jon Fazal on guitar and Becky Doe on violin.

Praise for Jonah Corren:
'Corren's vocal performance is both poignant and playful' Americana UK

'His lyrics are wry and writerly, and the mark of a young talent to watch' Two Story Melody

As featured on BBC Introducing SW and 6 Music.

Plus: a solo set from folk singer-songwriter Jon Fazal, and an immersive poetry soundscape performance from Rachel Gippetti.

Location: Cafe Momus
