This six week, evening course is an introduction to screen printing for textiles.
By the end of the course you will have made a collection of textiles samples showcasing a range of screen printing techniques. You will explore an array of different outcomes using stencils, blank screens and pre-exposed screens to print onto fabric.
The course will cover:
- Creating designs for screen printing with stencils,
- Screen printing with pre exposed designs and stencils,
- Colour mixing and printing using basic and opaque binders,
- Mono printing through blank screens with binders,
- Flock and foil application,
- Printing using metallic, pearl, and puff techniques and materials
- Opportunity to experiment and combine all the techniques you have learnt.
Inspiration and themes will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.
