In Between brings together artists of East Asian cultural backgrounds whose works explore intimacy, sexuality and gender through personal and culturally layered experiences.
The exhibition reflects on lives shaped by the tensions between East Asian traditions and Western cultural frameworks, where queer desire, non-normative intimacy and women’s agency are often silenced or marginalised.
Through photography, illustration and image-based practices, the artists offer intimate glimpses into private emotional worlds shaped by vulnerability, tenderness and negotiation.
Rather than presenting a single narrative, In Between creates space for multiple voices to coexist, inviting viewers to reflect on intimacy as a site of resilience, self-definition and quiet resistance within the spaces between cultures.
