For the final film in our Polish season we have chosen this contemporary drama which has been hugely successful in Poland. When Goska meets Grzesiek online, she’s convinced he’s finally The One. Grzesiek is crazy about her, he showers her with flowers and proposes in Venice. It has to be love, right? But cracks soon start to appear in this perfect picture. Before long, their shared home becomes the most dangerous place for Goska.
Smarzowski takes a look inside the “good homes” where things happen that most people prefer not to talk about. “Dom dobry” (A Good Home) is a film about the boundaries of love — one that’s impossible to forget.
