What is Crescent Ambassadors?

Crescent Ambassadors is a creative professional development programme for the Women+ community, running across two terms in 2026-2027. Recruitment is now open for Term 2.

Evolving from Fotonow’s Crescent Women+ Photography Group, this iteration of Crescent brings an exciting opportunity to work ambitiously and collaboratively within the Crescent Ambassadors Peer Circle.

The programme will consist of fortnightly sessions at Fotonow HQ, where the group will come together for a term of creative workshops, industry training, skills development sessions and peer support sessions. Throughout the programme individuals will have the opportunity to work on a co-produced group project.

Crescent Ambassadors is designed to be an exciting career development opportunity for those interested in the creative arts, with the opportunity to be developing their skillsets and creative projects and events.

What are the commitments?

Term 2 of the programme runs from October 2026 to April 2027, consisting of fortnightly sessions at Fotonow and some additional flexibility for events/sessions across the city as the project progresses.

Session dates: 29 Oct, 12 Nov, 26 Nov, 10 Dec 2026; 7 Jan, 21 Jan, 4 Feb, 18 Feb, 4 Mar, 18 Mar, 1 Apr, 15 Apr 2027.

Thanks to our funding, we are offering this unique professional development programme completely FREE. Due to limited places, we ask that you consider your capacity when expressing interest in the programme.

It is expected that you will be able to commit an average of 2-3 hours per week, this includes: attending the fortnightly workshops and completing tasks in-between sessions on a self-directed basis.

Who can join?

We are looking for 12 individuals who are eager to learn, collaborate and who want to push themselves out of their comfort zone within a safe and creative environment. The programme is open to all Women+ individuals, regardless of experience.
