Book craft: stitch your own notebooks

This is a beginner-friendly bookbinding workshop. We will learn one or two of these stitch patterns per session :

-Western multiple signature binding
-String of pearls stitch
-Running stitch
-Chain stitch
-Pamphlet stitch
And you will have the opportunity to experiment with your own designs.

Participants will make two A6 soft-cover notebooks. All materials are supplied including all the embellishments to make your books truly unique. Beautiful recycled and sustainably sourced papers have been selected and cut to size for you. We will learn traditional bookbinding techniques for folding and piercing the pages and hacks so you can make books at home and on the move without any expensive equipment.

The workshop takes place in the warm and cosy surroundings of Caffeine Club so you can relax and have a delicious drink while we stitch. The mixture of being creative and focusing on repeated stitches is a great way to start the day. Plus you will have some beautiful books to take home with you and the satisfaction of knowing you made them yourself.
