Wembury Marine Conservation Area Voluntary Code of Conduct Panel Design

Wembury Bay and its coastline is home to many amazing species and habitats which are protected and celebrated by the Wembury Voluntary Marine Conservation Area (MCA) and the community that cares for it.

A voluntary Code of Conduct is in place encouraging visitors to enjoy their activity responsibly, discover more about what make the area special and actions which help to protect it.

They are looking for a graphic artist or digital illustrator (or an illustrator able to digitise their work) to create this interpretation panel, ideally having carried out similar work although this is not compulsory. An applicant with an interest in Marine ecosystems, species, and conservation as well as knowledge of the local area would be advantageous. The text for the messaging will be provided, but a collaborative approach to any interpretation or amendments to this will be expected.

The deadline for submissions is 12 noon on 11th January 2026 with the designs completed for printing and installation in Spring (beginning of March) 2026.

Please send all submissions to kate.duncan@plymouth.gov.uk and please do not hesitate to get in touch if you wish to get in touch to discuss any aspects of the project or have any questions.
